Free Internet Games

An online game is a game played over some form of computer network. This almost always means the Internet or equivalent technology, but games have always used whatever technology was current: modems before the Internet, and hard wired terminals before modems. The expansion of online gaming has reflected the overall expansion of computer networks from small local networks to the Internet and the growth of Internet access itself. Online games can range from simple text based games to games incorporating complex graphics and virtual worlds populated by many players simultaneously. Many online games have associated online communities, making online games a form of social activity beyond single player games.

Typing Games

A game is a structured activity, usually undertaken for enjoyment and sometimes used as an educational tool. Games are distinct from work, which is usually carried out for remuneration, and from art, which is more concerned with the expression of ideas. However, the distinction is not clear-cut, and many games are also considered to be work (such as professional players of spectator sports/games) or art (such as jigsaw puzzles or games involving an artistic layout such as Mahjong solitaire, or some video games).[citation needed]

Steam Games

This is a list of video games available on Steam, a digital distribution service and online gaming community operated by Valve Corporation. Steam was launched in 2003, initially with Valve’s own titles. The network gained more widespread use after the release of Half-Life 2 in 2004, which was intrinsically integrated into the system. Steam has since expanded as other major publishers, including Eidos Interactive, Activision, Ubisoft and Electronic Arts began distributing a number of their titles over the system. A substantial number of independent titles have also been released, along with several modifications for Valve’s own games. As of May 2010, over 2427 titles are available over the service. A list of upcoming titles is also present on the service.[1]
